Perception is everything… That’s why Ha Anh Vu’s supermodel identity might take people by surprise. When The Lotus had the chance to sit down and talk to her, the idea of supermodels who are blessed with beauty and aligned with prima donna behavior, or vacuous self-promotion seemed flawed. She certainly looks like someone who doesn’t wake up for less than $10,000 a day, but the Ha Anh we spoke with is neither bland nor vain. On the contrary, listening to the supermodel, entrepreneur, activist and dedicated mother describing all the ‘#’s hashtags’ that define her life, we saw an intellectually captivating woman who has so much more to offer than just looks.
